Then we opened up the Apples to Apples. Even the adult child who hates games loved this one.
Children need to have reading skills to play the junior version and it wouldn't take much of anything to add a picture. My only complaint is that I wish there were pictures so the youngest could play without an adult partner.
I spent a lot of money this Christmas trying to find a game we could play that would include the 3, 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. The children's version is geared to seven year olds but the five year old had no problems & the 3 year olds were fine on Daddy's lap helping.
Still, we had a wonderful Christmas evening playing the game with the entire family sitting around the dining room table and you just can't buy that. We tried six different games with varying degrees of failure.
I bought both the adult & children's version and, to tell you the truth, we could almost have played either.
If you own one board game for your kids, have this be the one.(the only downside is that it needs three or more players). I love the adult version of this game, and the kids I work with love this version.It teaches some vocabulary and reasoning, and can be a phenomenal ice breaker in a daycare or school-aged care setting. This is the most valuable board game/card game our afterschool program had.
They love it. My grandkids wanted to play the adult version of the game so badly that I ordered the "Kids" version for them.
Also great for game night with friends. An hysterical game to play with all ages. It is a lot of fun.
Great game for family game night. This is a very fun game for kids. It is just like the grown-up version of Apples to Apples but has easier vocabulary.
